Our Heritage Varieties
NOTE – the varieties listed below are either well established (over 80 years old), are 8 – 10 years old and almost ready to produce, or are newly planted varieties. It takes 10 - 12 years for a newly planted tree to bear fruit. Therefore, full harvest of all listed varieties may not be available.
Heritage McIntosh, Canadian Red Melba, Yellow Transparent, Spartan, Hawkeye, Baxter, Sandow and Canadian Red Atlas are all well established and available during harvest. Limited amounts of our other listed varieties are expected in 2027 (hopefully!)

An exceptionally hardy variety with a sweet-tart flavour and firm, juicy flesh. Baxter is a rare apple that originated in Ontario in the 1800's.
Known for its striped-skin, red colour and satisfying crunch, this very rare variety is a standout choice for fresh eating.
An aromatic early-season apple with a mild sweet flavour and a tender, melting texture year. Produces fruit every other year.

The 1800's ancestor of the Golden Delicious apple. Has a mild, sweet flavour and no tart acidity whatsoever. Features a very unique taste that makes incredible sauce and juice.
